Support Boycott Action at
Indigospirit
Wednesday March 30, 2011
12 to 1 PM
All over the world supporters of Palestinian human rights will be marking March 30* with BDS** Actions. We call upon you to join us in one such boycott action at TD Square’s Indigospirit bookstore. This will be a peaceful, silent action where we will hand out bookmarks and other literature, hold signs and flags, create a tableau, and present a letter to the store managers.
The controlling owners of Chapters/Indigo have used their profits from our book and music purchases to establish the “Heseg Foundation for Lone Soldiers”. This fund provides scholarship and other financial support to individuals with no family in Israel who join the Israeli military and remain in the country permanently. This is the same military that invaded Lebanon for six weeks in 2006 and carried out Operation Cast Lead in Gaza in 2008. For more information on the Lone Soldier’s Fund and military abuse of Palestinian human rights please go to http://www.cjpme.org/DisplayDocument.aspx?DO=853&RecID=46&DocumentID=1062
To support our action please:
- Meet us at the 7th Ave and 4th St. S.W. entrance to TD Square at noon willing to stand with us in silent protest
- Wear red and black
- Wear a keffiyeh if you have one

* March 30 is Land Day which 1) commemorates the 1976 killing by Israeli armed forces of 6 young Palestinian citizens of Israel protesting the expropriation of Palestinian land for Israeli settlements; and 2) symbolizes Palestinian Resistance to Israel’s ongoing land expropriation, colonization, occupation and apartheid.
** In 2005 over 170 Palestinian civil society organizations called for a global campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) against the State of Israel as a non-violent means of pressuring Israel to recognize the right to self determination of the Palestinian people; and to comply with international law by
- Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Wall
- Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality
- Respecting, protecting, and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN Resolution 194
